What is there to do in Las Vegas? The answer depends on who you ask. If you are asking this question of yourself while you are visiting Las Vegas for the first time as an adult then there is a lot that might lead you to believe that there is very little to do in Las Vegas other than gamble, eat at one of the many restaurants dotting the strip and watch some of the famous Las Vegas shows. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is so much more to do in Las Vegas that even those gamblers with years of experience can have a great time.
When it comes to what is there to do in Las Vegas, it all starts with the entertainment district. Every night in Las Vegas there is a show in one of the casinos on The Strip, or on Fremont Street. There are shows on The Pit, The Forum, Excalibur, or any number of the casinos themselves. They offer great food, music, dancing and gambling.
Along with all of the live shows there are also shows that are staged for the entertainment of the general public. Some of these include concerts, theatrical shows, or parades. These events are extremely popular, both as a means of fun for the general crowd and a way for locals to make some money by selling tickets. Many residents of the city also live in large units of flats that are rented out to groups of tourists every year in what is called the “ulous.” Many of these groups will head out to one of the many sites on The Strip where they can enjoy one of the many live shows, or they can go to one of the many outdoor concerts that are held on The Lake.
One of the biggest attractions that attracts people from all over the world is the Cirque du Soleil. This is an all-you-can-do-here-and-for-free show that’s been running for more than thirty years now. It’s located in the Grand Canyon right on the edge of Las Vegas’ downtown area. It’s open all day long, Friday through Sunday, and has entertained thousands of guests ever since its inception.
For those who want to see this spectacular show but can’t quite afford it, there’s another option that will cost you just a bit more money, but provide you with just as much enjoyment. The Cirque du Soleil’s website says that admission is only about $50, but it is one of the most expensive shows in the world. This is because there are several other attractions in addition to this one on top of the incredible acrobatics and show. But don’t think that because it costs so much that it’s some kind of a bad deal. In fact, the experience is one of a kind and far exceeds the cost of admission.
If you get the chance to go to Paris, then you should take the chance to visit Le Louvre. This is without a doubt one of the most famous museums in all of the world.
