How Long Is the Average Las Vegas Strip?

The answer to the question, “How long is the average Las Vegas strip walk”? depends on who you ask. Some people might tell you it’s five minutes, others say ten. But in truth, how long it takes to walk the Strip depends on what you’re doing. Walking the Las Vegas Strip isn’t exactly easy, especially for people who don’t know what they’re doing. Here are some tips to help make your Las Vegas strip walk more enjoyable.

When most people hear the term “walking the Strip,” they envision stepping off of one of the elevated walkways in front of the casinos. But actually, there are many other ways to get to the best walking places along the Strip. And while some people think that casinos are where the action is, they aren’t always right. In fact, walking the Strip can be just as enjoyable walking around the Valley of Lights, or visiting one of the shopping promenades. In addition to gambling tables, the grandiose hotel complexes also house a great variety of stores, restaurants, and other performance venues for live entertainment, dance lessons, comedy clubs, and shows.

That said, there’s one thing you need to keep in mind if you’re walking the Strip. And that’s: the traffic. Especially at night, the entire stretch of the Strip can be blocked off for pedestrian traffic for up to an hour. So if you happen to see something or someone on the street, stay out of the way! You may not see anything for several minutes, but it will be gone by the time you get a chance to look.

Of course, if you happen to be a walking tourist, you can expect to see a lot more. The entire city of Las Vegas is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. There’s no getting around the strip. It’s truly a living, breathing thing. Most people who visit Vegas have at least one or two nights to get seen here, and most of those nights are spent in the hottest spots.

Just down the road from the Las Vegas Strip is a group of streets called Alhambra. It’s well worth a drive to check out, because there’s a beautiful Spanish mission built on one of these streets. The view from here is breathtaking and seeing the lights of downtown Vegas reflecting off of the Alhambra can be quite breathtaking, as well. Just stay on the strip, however, and you won’t get too far away from the lights of the town.

In some cases, you might even get lucky and wind up in a VIP room. There are all kinds of places that offer VIP rooms for events, and this is where most people go. Of course, since there are so many people going in, and since most of these rooms are located on the Las Vegas strip, you won’t have to worry about being on the wrong side of the entrance. That can be pretty nerve wracking, seeing people you don’t know standing there waiting for you. You will, however, be able to see right into the crowd, and it’s quite a sight!

Another great place to go is the Las Vegas Racquet Club. The view from here is incredible, and you will almost always get to watch top tennis players in action. Of course, you’re not going to be able to see them when they’re playing, but you will get a good look at what goes on during their matches. It can be pretty fun to watch tennis on the strip. You will, however, have to be very careful when you’re walking around after you see a match being played because you never know who may be out there.

Probably the best part of all of this is that you can go on any of these trips at any time you want, and you will never have to worry about the weather. The weather can be pretty unpredictable in Vegas, and if you plan your trip for a less popular time of year, you can still go to Vegas and enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of the strip without having to worry about how long is the average Las Vegas Strip. Enjoy yourself, make a reservation at one of these hotels, and then head back to Vegas. Just plan to go on an off-season trip like this, and you will have a great time without having to worry about how long the average Las Vegas strip is.
