In addition to enjoying a fun and memorable
ride to and from Hoover Dam filled with jokes and interactive
games you get an informative walk over the top. You'll be amazed
as you are dropped off on the Arizona side for a one way walk
over this engineering wonder. You'll view a Battleship size
water spillway up close, peak over the top as you hear about the
methods used to pour the concrete and view the enormous 1/4 mile
long generator buildings. Size is often confusing; from where
you'll stand everything will seem dwarfed in comparison to the
Dam itself. After finishing the walking tour you'll have ample
time (1 hour) to visit the gift shop or take the Discovery Tour
(not included) before boarding the bus and heading Boulder City
for a visit to the Boulder Dam Museum where you can see what it
took to live here during great depression, view a short movie on
the construction of Boulder/Hoover Dam or plug in and listen to
stories taking place in 1935 on the original Boulder City
switchboard. When we leave the museum we will stop for either a
free sample of Grandmas Daisy's homemade fudge or Honey Creams
Frozen Custard. On the way back to Vegas you'll be fascinated by
some local history including what has been said to be the
"biggest bloodless coup" in Las Vegas history, the
Mafia and Howard Hughes. This is a day you will no soon forget;
many of the tour guides receive emails from delighted
